Free local authority funding seminar in the North West
Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank is to host a Local Authority seminar titled 'Local Authority Funding - Evaluating the options, offering best value' in the North West.
The seminar follows a similar format to an event held in London which proved to be very successful and is designed for Finance Directors, chief accountants, fleet managers and procurement managers.
The free event will be held on 6 February 2007 between 9:45am - 2pm at Trafford Hall near Chester.
A range of funding issues will be debated at the event and a number of industry professionals will be presenting at the seminar including: Prudential Code update: Options Appraisal Jude Ranisinghe, Director at Local Government Futures Managing your assets effectively: Vehicles and equipment Peter Sayle, Director Corporate Services andnbsp;at Sanderson Weatherall - Property Andrew Smith, Partner at Donaldsons Managing risks and effective corporate governance David Fleetwood, Non-Executive Director at Marsh plc Geoff Kontzle, Head of Public Sector at Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank said: "We have taken the decision to hold this seminar following the success of similar events".
"There have been a number of changes in how local authorities fund projects in recent years, with the introduction of the Prudential Code, and I believe that our seminar will lead to some lively debate".
