Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank and Malmaison team up to host new speed networking event for Merseyside business women

Women in Merseyside meant business last night as Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank teamed up with the Malmaison hotel in Liverpool to launch High Flyers, the first in a series of speed networking events for business women at the Malmaison Hotel on Princes Dock Over 40 business women, from a wide range of businesses, attended the event to take the opportunity to meet other local 'high flyers' and develop their business contacts, without the small talk

Debbie Thompson, Head of Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank's Merseyside Business Centre said: "The evening has been a great success.

As a busy working mother, I know how difficult it can be to manage your time effectively.

Speed networking allows you to maximise your networking opportunities in one evening, enabling business women to meet and build their contacts in the local business community." Marina Dalglish, Founder of the Marina Dalglish Cancer Appeal who attended the event said: "The event brought together some of the top female business leaders in Liverpool, creating a great opportunity to meet new business contacts.

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, as it not only gave me the opportunity to raise awareness about the Marina Dalglish Cancer Appeal, but also to meet and find out more about a wide range of local of businesses".

"I would recommend speed networking to any local business women looking to expand and develop their business connections in a relaxed, sociable environment".

"" Sophie Peters, Regional Business Development Manager at Malmaison said: "We are delighted to be working with Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank to co-host these landmark events in Merseyside's Business Calendar.andnbsp; The success of the High Flyers event clearly demonstrates the need for networking events of this kind".

"One of the main benefits of this style of networking is that you get the chance to meet and chat to everyone at the event, offering a great opportunity to develop key contacts and your business." The High Flyers event was created due to the success of Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank's 'All about the Woman' event last year in conjunction with the European Capital of Culture 08.

The series of events are specifically designed to support business women in Merseyside.

The bank has teamed up with Liverpool's new luxury hotel, Malmaison to host the speed networking events, providing a great, relaxed atmosphere to meet some of the regions top female business leaders.

The next High Flyers event will be held at Malmaison on Thursday 10 May 2007.
