Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank named
best business current account provider for the sixth year running
Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank has been voted 'Best Business Current Account Provider' by leading independent finance guide Business Moneyfacts for a record sixth consecutive year, re-affirming the bank's dominance in the business banking current account market.
The bank was also highly commended in the 'Best Overall Business Bank' category as well as being commended in 'Best No Notice Business Deposit Account Provider' category and was also a finalist in the 'Best Computer Banking Provider' category, highlighting the excellent value and range of services offered by Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank.
Commenting on Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank's success, Lee Tillcock, Editor of Business Moneyfacts, said: "The small business current account market has become very competitive in the last few years and therefore Alliance and Leicester's dominance of this award is testament to the easily understood, good value range of current account products offered by the Bank.
"The bank has performed consistently well in our surveys and best buy tables - and the judges are delighted to recognise the bank's excellence by awarding it 'Best Business Current Account Provider' for an unprecedented sixth successive year." Steve Jennings, Director of Business Banking at Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank, said: "Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank continues to transform the business banking market by offering exceptional value products, with charging structures that are fair and transparent.
We are delighted to have been named the 'Best Business Current Account Provider' for a record sixth year and it highlights our position as a credible alternative to the traditional business banks." Steve Jennings adds: "In 2007 nearly 34,000 businesses chose to open a business current account with Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank and many of these switched and have benefitted from substantially lower banking costs.
Our research shows that small businesses are losing out on £500 million a year by remaining in uncompetitive business banking deals, so it is encouraging that more and more businesses are waking up to the fact that not all business current accounts are the same.
Our market leading Free Business Current Account, together with our Business Builder Account which provides start-up businesses with two years' free banking are proving to be very popular."
