Alliance and Leicester makes internal appointment for new role of head of intermediary sales

Following a review of the senior management structure within its Intermediary Sales and Service division,

Alliance and Leicester today announces an internal appointment of Viviane Clement to the new role of Head of Intermediary Sales.

Viviane will take up the role with immediate effect and reports directly to Raj Uppal, Director of Mortgages.

She is responsible for the intermediary sales division, including both field based and telephony teams.

Raj Uppal comments: "Viviane has had a very distinguished career at Alliance and Leicester with a highly successful track record of sales management gained within our Retail Network and Intermediary Sales.

"She is committed to Alliance and Leicester and the bank's intermediary partners, and as such I know she will prove to be a valuable asset in this new role, ensuring Alliance and Leicester's service to the intermediary community continues to be second to none." Viviane has spent her entire career at Alliance and Leicester working her way successfully through a number of roles, most recently as Regional Sales Manager for London, South East and East Anglia.

Ray Boulger, Senior Technical Manager at John Charcol comments on the new appointment.

"Viviane maintains absolutely the right balance of keeping us informed of pricing and policy changes, efficiently dealing with queries and working closely with our Business Development Manager.
