Alliance and Leicester launches imail system for improved broker communications
Alliance and Leicester's commitment to improving communications with intermediaries has taken a further step forward with a new email communication system,
which is designed to offer brokers personalised messages.
The system, Imail, is now available to all Alliance and Leicester's Business Development Managers (BDMs) and means they can personalise messages to their intermediary contacts.
BDMs are using Imail to send details of new products or services, as well as personal messages to individuals of thanks or congratulations on personal or business achievements and successes.
Imail allows the BDM to send messages to either selected individuals or firms or to all of their contacts, choosing from a variety of templates to ensure all information is consistent in message and design.
However, BDMs can personalise the message and adapt it by adding in attachments like mortgage portfolios and lending criteria, or by putting in banners to run across the bottom of the screen.
One of the banners available for BDMs to choose promotes the new single contact telephone number which was launched in April 2008.
Jill Butterwood, Intermediary Transformation Manager at Alliance and Leicester, comments: "We have been using Imail for a number of weeks now and it has been well received.
It allows our BDMs to tailor information to an individual's needs - and who better to decide what is useful than the local BDM who has regular contact with their intermediary customers.
"We are continually looking at new ways to further improve our communications with brokers and we believe they are more likely to open emails from a contact they know personally and have a working relationship with, rather than from a generic Alliance and Leicester email address.
This means our intermediary customers can find out about new initiatives that benefit them more quickly which in turn can helps them work more efficiently.
