Barclaycard Business underlines strong customer service focus with senior appointment

Barclaycard Business has underlined its ongoing commitment to strengthening customer relationships with the appointment of renowned customer engagement specialist Peter Jones.

Peter, who was previously responsible for driving customer relationship management at American Express, has been appointed Head of Relationship Management for Barclaycard Business.

In this role, Peter will lead a 70-strong Relationship Management team covering the full spectrum of Barclaycard Business customers on both the commercial card issuing and merchant acquiring sides of the business.

Prior to joining Barclaycard Business, Peter was Vice President of International Customer Experience and Engagement Marketing at American Express, based in the UK.

He spent a total of 11 years at American Express in senior customer management, marketing and business development roles, both in the US and Europe.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Southern California.

Peter was born and raised in the United States and has been based in UK for the past three years.

He lives with his wife Laura in Brighton and in his spare time enjoys travelling, snow skiing and mountain biking.
