Investors react to changing markets
Barclays Stockbrokers clients capitalised on market conditions yesterday (30 September) with 72% buys compared to 28% sells
Investors saw a clear buying opportunity yesterday, with Barclays Stockbrokers clients making 72% buys compared to 28% sells.
This is a sharp contrast to trading activity today which has so far seen 59% of clients buy, compared to 41% sells (as at 4.30pm, 30 September 2008).
Henk Potts, Equity Strategist, Barclays Stockbrokers said: "The art of good investment is to buy the market when it is weak and cheap, rather than strong and expensive.
Time is the stock market's best friend, as long as you are not a forced seller there are good long term opportunities to make money from the current misery.".
