Barclays mobi is launched to provide mobile banking for personal customers
Barclays is helping its customers stay in touch with their money with the launch of mobile banking.
The free service will enable customers with a web-enabled mobile phone to access Barclays Online Banking from wherever they are, 24 hours a day.
The mobile web link 'Barclays.mobi' will take personal customers to the pages of Barclays Online Banking which have been specially redesigned to be viewed on mobile phones.
After a secure log in, customers can check their account balance and statements with more services to be added shortly.
Sean Gilchrist, Director for Electronic Banking, said: "Barclays is constantly working to make the most of new technology and the opportunities it offers for accessing banking services".
"These days most of us are never far from our mobile phones and this new service means that we are now never far from our bank account either." For more information go to www.barclays.co.uk/online.
