Supreme Court ruling - unauthorised overdraft charges
Barclays comments on the bank appeal victory on unauthorised overdraft charges in the Supreme Court
A spokesperson said: "We welcome the Supreme Court's ruling that our overdraft charges are legal, confirming that unarranged overdraft charges are an important part of the price for the package of current account services provided to customers.
A positive outcome has now been achieved which puts an end to the test case and provides clarity for customers and banks alike.
This is the resolution and clarity that we have sought throughout these proceedings.
"We will be working closely with the FSA and OFT on moving forward from here and we will continue to provide regular updates for all of our customers on our website.
