It would be nice to say something different - but for the fifth week running Guaranteed Bond rates have stayed the same.

Higher rate tax payers can achieve up to 6.48% p.a.

gross equivalent for an investment of £50,000 plus (3 year Annual income).

For larger investments the rates are even higher.

Yesterday we placed an investment (admittedly an exceptionally high amount) and achieved the equivalent to 6.75% p.a.

gross for a higher rate tax payer.

The problem with bank and building society fixed rate bonds is that, generally speaking, investors receive the same rate whether they are investing £1 or £1m.

With Guaranteed Bonds, the more you invest - the better the rate.

Today's best rate from the survey: 3 years annual income - £50,000 plus - Pinnacle, 4.86% P.A.

net of basic rate.

(Equivalent to 6.07% p.a.

gross for a basic rate tax payer and 6.48% p.a.

gross for a higher rate tax payer) We are often able to obtain significantly higher rates for investments of £100,000 plus.
