BUPA international strengthens its senior management team
Leading expat health insurer BUPA International has made three senior management appointments as the company continues to pursue its ambitious growth agenda.
David Grint will become commercial director from 1 March 2008.
He is currently brand and planning director responsible for the BUPA brand, marketing communications and research.
He developed BUPA's global brand strategy and the company's current 'shapes' UK advertising campaign.
David is a professional marketeer, having worked for leading organisations including Coca Cola and BBC.
Paula Covey has been appointed director of customer service.
Paula has held several operational roles in both BUPA UK Health Insurance and BUPA International prior to becoming head of global marketing six years ago.
Paul Bishop joins BUPA International as IT Director responsible for the company's computer systems in Brighton, England, Copenhagen and Miami.
He was previously group IT director at Dunlop.
Keith Biddlestone, managing director of BUPA International said: "These appointments further strengthen our leadership team at an exciting time for our business which continues to grow.
With more than 750,000 customers in 190 countries around the world, international health insurance is a 'must have' for expatriates living and working abroad." Earlier this year, BUPA International appointed a further three doctors to its highly experienced Copenhagen medical team and introduced a live and secure online 'chat room' for customers.
It has also recently conducted a survey amongst expats which found that nine out of ten of them would recommend a life abroad to their friends or family and three in every four say their quality of life has improved since moving to a new country.
