BUPA's Puttenham Hill House witnesses 'I do'
Resident, Fred Jeffries wasn't well enough to attend his daughter's wedding, so the staff at his care home, BUPA's Puttenham Hill House in Guildford, staged a repeat performance for him.
They arranged for his daughter, Charlotte and her new husband Gary to renew their wedding vows in a service conducted by the local vicar at the home, with Fred as guest of honour.
Wendy Robinson, activities co-ordinator at the home, said, "We were thrilled to hold the ceremony for Fred.
We are committed to provide the very best individual care to all our residents and will go out of our way to meet their wishes." Fred's daughter Charlotte added: "We were overwhelmed at the effort the staff put in to make it a special occasion - it was typical of the wonderful care they provide at Puttenham Hill.
It really meant a lot to dad and provided a big boost for him.".
