BUPA welcomes CSCI findings on older
people's homecare support
Older people and their carers are being caused unnecessary health problems because of under-funded services to support them in their own homes, says BUPA Care Homes.
Social care regulator the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) today highlights that local councils' lack of funding means that in many areas only the most frail and elderly stand any chance of getting help and support with basic tasks such as washing, home visits from care workers, or even meals on wheels Welcoming CSCI's comments, BUPA Care Service's medical director, Dr Clive Bowman said that residential homes across the country are seeing the adverse effects on the health of older people and their carers
