Capital One statement re: ID Theft
"Following Alastair Darling's statement in relation to breach of procedures at HMRC, Capital One would like to reassure its customers.
The missing data does not contain any reference to credit card details However, all Capital One customers automatically receive our free ID theft service
Through the free service, Capital One customers can obtain advice to help prevent and spot identity theft.
If a Capital One customer discovers they have been a victim of ID theft they will receive support from a named advisor to help at every stage of the resolution process.".
