Key details of this account which is launched on 18 July 2007 are:- Account name Minimum opening investment AER Gross pa* Net pa* Gross pa* Net pa* AER Call Direct 30 (2nd Issue) £250 (max £250,000) ** 6.25% 5.00% 6.08% 4.86% 6.25% The interest rate is guaranteed to be no lower than the Bank of England base rate for the first year of saving THEN guaranteed to be no lower than 0.25% below Bank of England base rate until 15 January 2009.
From 18 July 2007 to 15 January 2009 withdrawals can be made penalty free with 30 days' prior notice.
Within this period, notice free withdrawals are subject to a penalty equivalent to 30 days' loss of interest on the amount withdrawn.
First annual interest payment date is 1 June 2008, then annually thereafter.
