Stephen Timms MP to Outline Government policy on Corporate Social Responsibility
Stephen Timms MP will address some of the most senior Corporate Responsibility practitioners in the business community on 17 January
when he makes the keynote speech at Cicero Forum's landmark conference, 'Designing your Corporate Responsibilility strategy for the new Companies Act'.
Mr Timms will outline government policy on the requirements outlined in the 2006 Companies Act, which stipulate that all directors must have regard to the interests of their staff, their suppliers and customers, the community and the environment.
He will be joined by Peter Kenyon, Chief Executive of Chelsea Football Club, who will speak about his own experience of building a CR strategy, as well as representatives from the Association of British Insurers, Barclays, BT and KPMG The conference will be chaired by Lord Dick Newby, the Chairman of Live Consulting and member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Corporate Responsibility.
