Insurance fraud seen as a serious crime by the public, but one in ten still likely to commit it

We want to give our dealers and their customers peace of mind whether they are buying a new Suzuki motorcycle or a used one.
"It is easier to put a stolen bike up for sale than a stolen car, so provenance is extremely important within the used motorcycle market - probably more so than in the used car market.
With this in mind, we looked into various provenance services on the market and we found that Experian could offer everything we needed from a provider.
"By choosing Experian as the preferred supplier of this service, not only are we giving our dealers a means of protecting themselves, but also giving their customers greater buying confidence." Experian offers one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date checking services for motorcycles, thanks to its association with the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA).
Kirk Fletcher, Managing Director of Experian's Automotive division, said: "There is already a higher risk of motorcycles being stolen, but there is also a higher risk of them being written off and, with the recent floods in June seeing the number of write-offs rise by a huge 36.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2006, a reliable provenance service in this market is vital.
"So, we are delighted to have been chosen as the preferred supplier of provenance services by Suzuki.
It is a testament to the quality of our service to be selected by one of the best selling motorcycle marques in the UK.".
