Two take the automotive driving seat at Experian
Experian, the global information services company, has made two senior promotions within its Automotive division.
Kirk Fletcher has been confirmed as the new Managing Director of Experian's Automotive division.
Supporting Kirk in his role is James Barr, who been confirmed as the division's new Sales Director.
As Managing Director, Kirk will be responsible for the continuing growth of the division through the development and delivery of intelligent, value-add solutions that meet the needs of Experian's automotive clients.After a successful eight months in which he had taken the role of Acting Managing Director, Kirk has now been appointed to the role permanently.Having joined Experian in 1992 as a Junior Account Executive within the Experian's Business Strategies division, Kirk has played a key role in helping to develop Experian's relationships within the automotive industry.
In 1996, he took on responsibility of the Business Strategies division's work in this area and it quickly became one of the fastest growing areas of the company, helping to secure clients, such as Volvo, Toyota, Renault, Honda and Ford Motor Company.
In June 2004, he became Sales Director for Experian's Automotive division, taking on the responsibility of developing and deploying new data driven solutions across Experian's franchise dealer clients.James Barr began his career in the automotive industry in 1991, when he joined one of the leading manufacturer brands, Honda UK, as a Product Planning Executive.
He later went on to hold product management and sales planning roles for Mitsubishi and continued to develop his career at Jato Dynamics, an automotive market research company, and Polk , suppliers of sales and aftersales solutions and analysis to the automotive industry.James joined Experian in July 2004 as Head of Dealer Data Solutions and later became Head of Automotive Online Solutions.
In April 2007, James took on the role of Acting Sales Director for Experian's Automotive division.Now fully appointed as Sales Director, James will be motivating a team of 40 dedicated sales professionals to help deliver on the division's future strategy.Commenting on the promotions, Phil Cotter, Managing Director of Experian's Information Solutions division, said: "The automotive market is currently a very challenging place to be, but Experian's Automotive business is making positive headway.
