Jill Stevens to retire
Jill Stevens, Director of Consumer Affairs at Experian, the global information services company and the UK's largest credit reference agency, is to retire at the end of March 2008.
Jill joined Experian 13 years ago and in 1996 launched the company's consumer education programme to raise consumer awareness of the information held by credit reference agencies Working with the media, trade bodies, government and consumer and money advice organisations she has become a well known expert on consumers' rights and an advisor on the credit granting process

She has taken the initiative to explain and de-mystify the credit referencing process to the public, politicians and policy groups and the press.
As a result, it is a system which is far better understood today.
She has lifted the veil on the role of credit reference agencies and the importance of credit reports, so that consumers know what their rights are and have access to remedies when they have problems.
"Everyone who has worked with Jill has observed how approachable and friendly she is, her endless patience and practical approach all of which have benefited Experian, the credit industry, decision makers in government and most importantly consumers.
Jill has been a strong supporter of the Citizens Advice service and money advice services and a good colleague, which we have greatly appreciated." Jill's role will be taken up by Helen Lord, Regulatory Compliance Director, James Jones, Consumer Education manager, and Gillian Key-Vice, Director of Regulatory Affairs.Mike Bradford, Director of Regulatory and Consumer Affairs at Experian, added: "Jill single-handedly started our Consumer Affairs and Education initiatives when she was brought into the business in 1995.
She is an acknowledged expert in her field, and has been instrumental in establishing Experian as a trusted custodian of client and personal information.
Jill leaves Experian with our sincere thanks for all that she has achieved and we wish her a long and happy retirement.
"We are fortunate in having a strong team in place able to take up the reins, all of them already having considerable experience in Consumer, Regulation and Consumer Affairs.".
