Fidelity awarded Best Asia Pacific (ex
Japan) Group by Professional Adviser

Fidelity International, the UK's largest mutual fund manager, has been named Best Asia Pacific (ex Japan) Group in the Professional Adviser Awards 2007.

The Professional Adviser awards, voted for by IFAs, recognise the companies providing the best products, performance and service to the financial advice market Unlike many other awards that are decided exclusively on fund performance, the Professional Adviser awards take account of the additional factors that raise a company above its peers

Fidelity International was short listed along with five other fund houses in the Asia Pacific ex Japan category.

It was then up to the IFA readership to decide who they thought deserved the award.

Fidelity beat off competition from Aberdeen Asset managers, First State, Legg Mason, Newton and Resolution Asset Management.

Peter Hicks, Head of IFA Channel at Fidelity International, comments: "We are delighted to have won this award".

"It is particularly meaningful since it not just a panel of judges picking winners, but the IFA readership of Professional Adviser themselves who decide which of the candidates should win".

"This award shows that advisers have confidence in Fidelity's ability to deliver not only good investment performance across our range of Asia Pacific funds, but also in the support and service from our sales, marketing and service teams." Fidelity International Limited ("FIL") and its subsidiary companies serve the major markets of the world by providing investment products and services to individuals and institutional investors outside the US.

The FIL Organisation manages a total of GBP140.9 billion of assets.
