Gartmore increases retail distribution capability with new appointment

Gartmore are pleased to announce the appointment of Antony Teare as Account Director to Gartmore's UK Retail Distribution team.

He joined on 26 April from AEGON Asset Management reporting to Warren Shiels, Head of Intermediary Sales.

With over nine years' experience Antony has spent the last four years distributing AEGON's OEIC range to national IFA firms and third party clients in the UK.

In his new role he will oversee the distribution of Gartmore funds to advisory IFAs and third party distributors in London and the South East.

This hire follows the appointment of two other regional account directors, Mark Stirling and Richard Turner who joined in September 2009 and January 2010 respectively.

Additionally, the team has been bolstered by the appointment of three Sales Executives, Charles Davies, Agatha Howe and Antonia Perrott.

Commenting on the appointment, Warren Shiels said: "Antony joins with extensive experience of the industry, which will complement the incumbent team and demonstrates our commitment to the UK Retail space.
