Ten years ago today (8 December, 1999) marked a significant turning point for consumer choice and empowerment with the launch of moneysupermarket.com.

For the first time people could research every mortgage, credit card and personal loan available.

Ten years on, moneysupermarket.com has established itself as the number one comparison website, comparing more products across more channels than any other site.

We estimate that over the last ten years we have helped approximately 500 million visitors save money and this year alone moneysupermarket.com customers are on track to rack up GBP400m+ of savings.

It is easy to forget that 10 years ago 'shopping around' meant a walk down the high street or making call after call to providers.

Now customers can easily search a wide variety of products by using the comparison tools available on moneysupermarket.com, and make an informed decision, before buying with a simple click of a mouse.
