ASA rules that moneysupermarket.com compares more quotes than anyone else

A recent complaint received by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) regarding two moneysupermarket.com motor insurance adverts has been quashed by the regulatory body.

The ruling announced today found moneysupermarket.com was not in breach of advertising rules when using the phrase 'we compare more quotes than anyone else' and had also provided substantial evidence to support the use of the term 'We are the number one price comparison site'.

This year the UK's leading price comparison site launched its 'Customer Promise' and has worked hard to incorporate those promises into the operating of the site and also to reinforce those values through advertising campaigns and media work.

moneysupermarket.com Customer Promise: Best price.

Most comprehensive.

Clear and impartial.

Trustworthy.

Supportive.

Sean Thweny Director of Marketing at Moneysupermarket said of the ruling: "Our main aim is to provide the best possible service to the consumers that use our site.

The messages we use in our advertising are trustworthy and we only aim to provide clear and impartial information.

We were happy to help the ASA throughout their investigation and are pleased that they ruled in our favour.

moneysupermarket.com is constantly working to make improvements to the service that we offer and developing more efficient ways to deliver the most comprehensive information to consumers and the best possible price.

We have exciting site updates and new functionality scheduled for the near future which we feel will continually enhance the consumer's experience of our site.
