Newcastle appoints new Corporate
Communications Manager

Newcastle Building Society has appointed Nicola Green as Corporate Communications Manager within its marketing department.

Nicola is responsible for the strategic development of public relations and communication within the organisation She is heavily involved in media relations, internal communications, corporate events, crisis communications, the development of company and staff literature, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community work

Nicola holds a degree in public relations from Leeds Metropolitan University and has seven years of industry experience in London and Newcastle.

Her most recent position was as PR Account Director at the north's largest integrated marketing services agency, Robson Brown, where she worked for four years for business to business and consumer clients.

Her previous clients have included Croner, part of global publisher Wolters Kluwer, Dickinson Dees LLP, Ericsson, TUI UK, Lafarge UK and north east regional development agency One NorthEast.

She also has extensive community relations experience, having driven the PR campaign to generate public support for a proposed Renewable Energy Village in Weardale, County Durham, a regeneration initiative led by the Weardale Task Force.
