Jonathan Polin, Sales and Marketing Director at Ignis Asset Management, says: "Ignis is wholly committed to growing its presence in Continental Europe and this significant investment highlights our ambition to become one of Europe's leading asset management companies.
It is essential that we have the structure and resource in place to support our plans and the appointment of Philip and his team, with the wealth of experience they bring to the business, is the first significant step to achieving our goal.
I am delighted they have chosen to join Ignis.
Philip Goldsmith, newly appointed Managing Director Europe at Ignis Asset Management, says: "Ignis is an exciting company with a unique multi-boutique structure and a range of compelling investment solutions.
Recent market conditions have made expansion into Europe an attractive proposition as many asset managers have retrenched from their European operations.
I believe now is an opportune time to enter what is one of the world's most significant markets and I am delighted to have the opportunity to grow the international business of a company that has the resource and ambition to take significant market share.
