Edited by the Insidemoneytalk editorial team May 16, 2007

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Andre Andrzejsson as Head of Nordic

Andre will be based in SWIP's London office and will report to Peter Zurhorst, Head of Northern Europe at SWIP.

Andre is an Icelandic national and was born and raised in Sweden.

He has considerable experience of the Scandinavian financial markets with roles including Business Development Director of Skandia Global funds in Stockholm and Scandinavian Institutional Sales at GAM UK.

He joins SWIP from CDK Group, where he was Sales and Marketing Director.

The Nordic market has become increasingly important for SWIP.

Most recently, SWIP was appointed by AMF Pension to manage a European small cap mandate.

AMF is one of Sweden's leading pension providers and the mandate marked one of the first times that AMF has outsourced management to an external provider.

SWIP also manages a real estate securities mandate for Tapiola Asset Management, part of the Finnish Tapiola finance services group.

Peter Zurhorst, Head of Northern Europe at SWIP, comments: " Andre brings considerable knowledge of the Scandinavian financial markets to this role, combined with impressive sales experience".

"He will be able to use this experience to drive SWIP's business forward in the Nordic market and we look forward to continued success in this market".

"Andre joins SWIP at an interesting time in its international development".

"We are seeing increased interest for our funds across the Nordic markets, as a result of consistent strong fund performance and our research-driven investment philosophy.".
