Scottish Widows confirmed as an official provider of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

As part of the Lloyds TSB Group, Scottish Widows is delighted to be confirmed as the official pensions and investment provider of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Scottish Widows will be working closely with the wider Lloyds TSB Group in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to engage colleagues, customers and local communities in the 2012 experience.

Sarah Bailey MBE and Roger Black MBE have been appointed as Scottish Widows ambassadors, and will work alongside the company over the next five years on a number of initiatives.

To celebrate the announcement, both Sarah and Roger were in Edinburgh on Thursday (12 July) to meet colleagues at Scottish Widows.

Roger Black stated "I'm delighted for this opportunity to work with such a great brand as Scottish Widows for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Scottish Widows focus to help customers to prepare financially for their future is a great fit with the focus of the 2012 Games of preparing our country to host the biggest show on earth" .

Sarah Bailey said '" It's a great honour to be an ambassador for Scottish Widows.

It's an exciting time for me as I pursue a new challenge in cycling in the build up to the Beijing Paralympic Games in 2008.

I'm really looking forward to working with Scottish Widows in helping to engage and inspire customers and colleagues through the 2012 Games" .

Archie Kane, Chief Executive at Scottish Widows, commented: "It is an honour to be associated with the greatest sporting event in the world.
