Essential guide to money essentials
Leading journalists and experts share their top tips to achieve money nirvana
Scottish Widows today launches 'Your little book of money 2010'.
This independent online guide examines and interprets the big financial issues of the moment, steering people through the monetary minefields they face, as well as offering guidance on choosing professional financial help that's right for them.
Stuart Green, Senior Brand Manager, commented: "The hangover from the recession means many people will still be feeling the pinch over the coming year.
However, help is at hand, and anyone worried about the negative effects of the recession on their financial standing could find 'Your little book of money 2010' from Scottish Widows a useful starting point to getting back on track.
As well as featuring a vital guide to recession-proofing people's finances, readers can discover which type of investor they are, get advice on shrinking their tax bill, learn more about property investing and re-mortgaging and get guidance on retirement planning, protection, and making the most of savings and investments.
Stuart Green continued: "Whether people need to get to grips with savings or pensions, want to know more about investments, or would simply like to become a little more financially savvy, 'Your little book of money 2010' is the jargon-free guide to their financial well-being.
Building on the success of past editions, the book was written and edited by financial journalist Rosanna Spero, along with Harriet Meyer and Sarah Pennells (both financial journalists), with the help of Scottish Widows in-house experts.
'Your little book of money' was first launched as a pocket-sized book in 2007, but in response to consumer demand to arrange all their monetary affairs online, Scottish Widows has decided to launch the 2010 edition online.
It will available as a download-able PDF, and via a new website at www.scottishwidows.com/littlebook, which means you're never more than one click away from excellent financial advice.
'Your little book of money' will be promoted via an online advertising campaign focusing on consumer websites Facebook, MSN and Tiscali.
