Standard Life Investments bolsters multi-asset investing team

Standard Life Investments, the global fund manager, has today announced the appointment of David Millar as Investment Director, Multi-Asset Investing.

David was previously Head of Bond Strategy and Chair of The Bond Policy Group at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP)..

Reporting to Euan Munro, Head of Multi-Asset Investing, David will be responsible for overseeing the investment strategy for some of the fund manager's key insurance funds.In addition, David will take a leading role in turning bond market views and themes into effective investment positions within Standard Life Investments suite of absolute return and LDI funds.

Standard Life Investments Multi-Asset Investing team is responsible for the asset allocation of over £55 bn in total assets and collectively manages over £1.6 bn within absolute return strategies*.

The team has an average of 18 years industry experience which brings together a critical combination of skills including investment management, actuarial analysis, quantitative modelling and global economics.

The team is headed up by Euan Munro and includes Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Julian Coutts and Head of Global Strategy, Andrew Milligan.
