SLIs' new GARS fund now available on Standard Life's bond and pension wrappers on an exclusive basis
Standard Life has announced the launched of an insured version of Standard Life Investments' new Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) Fund.
The company is the first life and pensions provider to link to the fund and GARS will be available across all Standard Life's bond and pension product wrappers on an exclusive basis (excluding Stakeholder).
The insured version of GARS can also be accessed through Standard Life's tax wrappers on the company's leading Wrap platform.
The addition of the new fund enhances Standard Life's investment proposition and offers further choice to those investors with a cautious attitude to risk but who still desire returns greater than normally available from cash.
Commenting on the launch, Graham Dow, Head of Investment Development at Standard Life said, "I am delighted that we have secured the GARS fund on an exclusive basis for our life and pension product wrappers.
Although it is a new fund to the retail market, the managers have a proven track record of performance in the institutional space and the addition of GARS will complement our expanding fund range." Graham continued, "By continuing to diversify the mix of funds available through our products, we aim to provide enhanced investment choice and help advisers offer their clients additional diversity in their investment portfolios.
If clients are looking for consistent positive returns in a variety of market conditions, then the new GARS fund may be the answer".
Standard Life Investments has also made the GARS Unit Trust available on a wide variety of fund platforms including Standard Life's Wrap and FundZone platforms.
